Better than Expected ....
An ideal trip in the camper van (it has been costing me a packet recently!) and the last time we were here it was a washout and disappointingly bad! We were hoping for better on this trip....

Getting out onto the mountain is never boring! However you can spice things up a little by getting to know the mountain via different routes. The conditions are always different on each trip too. Choosing The Steep Ascent! Beinn an Lochain Arrochar !

A night away in the camper van and deciding on a new route up a familiar mountain-Beinn an Lochain . A new but very steep way up a fantastic mountain. Weather was incoming though and a battle against time to try and get round before the storm hit. Also a circular way , does it beat the linear usual ascent route ?? Really enjoyed this relaxing video. I may have said on numerous occasions that Glenshee is my absolute favorite area to stay and as you say seeing the wildlife up there is wonderful. Nice to see your boy with you on this one. ATB Murray.

That's the great thing with the Glenn shee is you can do short days or a beastie and it's easy to cut short a trip if needed. The campervanis a game changer for a hill walker and once you've had one it's hard to go back to a car. Great video Murray .

I couldn't agree more - in fact I spent last Saturday stravaiging around these hills and talked a lot about it being one of the best hill walking areas in Scotland. Awesome video Murray, can't believe it has taken me so long to find it! I also always say "hi" to the Rannoch Rowan, and got my kids saying it too. I've often wondered about stopping to wander up a nearby hill to get those views across the Moor, instead of speeding onwards to Glencoe and beyond. Now as I get older and have done most things in Glencoe, and got more unfit and generally decrepit, I might actually do it one day, so thanks for that :)
